Hump Day Hostel was started up by a group of friends Esteban, Alejandro, Pablo and Paulo. They come from a variety of different fields, from tourism to engineering, but have a couple of things in common – optimism, sense of humor, their friendship and a vision to open up a hostel different than others. They wanted the place to become a cool hangout spot for travelers, locals, expats and themselves too. It is more than just a bed- it’s good vibes, great people and unforgettable experiences!
It turns out that “Hump Day” is neither a recognized holiday nor a day full of humping (clean up your dirty minds!) – It’s Wednesday and Wednesday is Latin for “almost Friday”! And guess what? In Ecuador it’s “almost Friday” every day!
Hump Day Hostel is a brand new venture located in the heart of Quito´s old quarter. If you are young at heart and looking for a great experience, this is the place to be. We organize diverse events every evening, whether it is a pub quiz or a movie night, an Ecuadorian culture hour or a salsa night, we want to make sure everyone has a good time and has a comfortable night’s sleep. We wish to make your stay with us a pleasant one and hope you’ll fall in love with Quito and your surroundings!
Our international crew is here to help you with everything you need; from buses to boats and bars to restaurants, we can answer any questions you may have about Ecuador.
The hostel stands in the grounds of a classic colonial house which is over 100 years old. We’ve given the design a modern touch, but at the same time keeping with classic building design.
